All praises are due to Allah, the Lord of the universe. May His blessings and salutations be upon the Noble Prophet, Muhammad (SAW).

Dear servants of Allah, be informed that Islam is a beautiful religion, it’s part of its beauty the prescription of gathering for congregational Friday Prayer. The best day during which the sun has risen. The Day Adam was created, the Day he entered paradise and also the Day of Judgment. It is demonstrated by the Qur’an as the master of all days.

Respected brothers and sisters in Islam, let utilize the countless blessings of Friday:

1. It has blessed hour such that Du’ahs are answered and accepted
2. It is a day in which sins are pardoned and forgiven.
3. A day of unity for the Muslim Ummah.
4. It is a day in which acts of worship are accepted and the rewards are multiplied.
5. A great day of celebration, and people who died on that day (Friday) are saved from the grave torment and punishment.

Oh servant of Allah, some of the recommended acts of IBADAH include:

1. Recitation of Surah al-Kahf, chapter 18 of the Holy Qur’an.
2. SALAT ALA ANNABI, sending salutations upon Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H).
3. Attending the congregational Friday Prayers, before the Imam enters the mosque.
4. Performance of bath, wearing of the best clothes, observing general cleanliness, brushing teeth, and use of perfumes among others.
5. Listening to the KHUTBAH and keeping quiet.
6. Giving charity to the poor, needy, orphans and the destitute
7. Tracking to the mosque and going in the early hours of Jumu’at time.
8. Du’ah, Dhikr, and Qira’tul Qur’an among other deeds.
9. Pleasing and being kind to your family, friends, neighbors and the general public.

Dear respected brothers and sisters in Islam, let utilize the opportunity to seek Allah’s forgiveness and pray for Nigeria. May Allah free the nation from the bondage of insecurity, poverty, the darkness of illiteracy, unemployment, and bad leadership. Amin.
